SUNRICH was born on the Big Island of Hawai'i, where life is shaped by the sun. Days begin and end outdoors — at the water's edge, in the yard, on the road between the two. Growing up here, caring for your skin was never a seasonal habit. It was simply part of everyday life, the way it had been for the generations before us.
We are two sisters who grew up in that rhythm. When we went looking for sun essentials that felt the way those days felt — joyful, considered, beautiful — we couldn't find them. Sun care meant either clinical routine or an afterthought. Nothing honored both the protection and the pleasure of a life lived in the sun.
So we decided to build it ourselves. Slowly, and carefully. Hundreds of samples tested. Formulas revised until they earned their place. Every product beginning with a real need from a real day in the sun.
Hawai'i guides every decision we make — and we hold that as a responsibility, not a theme. Deep respect for the people, culture, and place that raised us is built into how we create, how we speak, and how we grow.

Growing up on the Big Island of Hawai'i, life revolved around the outdoors. The sun was simply part of everyday life, and taking care of our skin was something I learned from an early age. Around the age of 13, I started wearing sunscreen every day after learning how important it was for protecting healthy skin, and it's been part of my routine ever since.
For most of my adult life, I built a career in a completely different industry while raising four amazing kids and helping manage our family business. Starting a beauty brand wasn't something I had planned. But I couldn't stop thinking about an idea that had been with me for years.
I was always searching for products that felt beautiful, thoughtfully made, and enjoyable to use every day. Instead, I found myself choosing between products that performed well but felt clinical, or products that looked beautiful but didn't deliver the experience I was looking for.
That idea eventually became SUNRICH.
Building SUNRICH has been one of the most rewarding challenges of my life. My hope is that SUNRICH inspires people to enjoy the sun with confidence, embrace simple daily rituals, and experience a brand that's rooted in the warmth, beauty, and values of the place that has always been home.
